SAG Moves towards Joint Bargaining with AFTRA
The SAG National Board yesterday passed a resolution, by a surprising 82% to 18% vote, directing the guild’s president and National Executive Director to “seek engagement with AFTRA in a joint bargaining agreement for negotiation of the Television/Theatrical Contract,” as quoted in a SAG press release.

SAG Moderates File Document to Fire National Executive Director

SAG Strike Authorization Ballots Delayed
This development was revealed less than two hours ago in an email from SAG National Executive Director Doug Allen to all SAG members, which also stated that an in-person SAG National Board meeting is now set for January 12-13 (all day the 12 th and part of the day the 13 th ). The LA Times beat me on this one by about a half hour.

Judge Denies SAG President Injunction Against SAG; President to Appeal
A judge today denied a temporary restraining order sought by Screen Actors Guild President Alan Rosenberg and three other board members against their own union, thus allowing negotiations with the studios to proceed. An AMPTP spokesman said his organization had no comment. Also upcoming is a SAG national board meeting this Sunday, Feb.
