ACTA Misreporting: Anatomy of a Smear
The latest moral panic by these groups about ACTA stems from a leak by an inside man at the recent ACTA meetings among the member states. Despite the shout out by Ars to their BFF (“We love you Corey!!”), even they seem to think there much less to the Geist Great Secrecy Obsession than meets the eye to a large extent. Can't have that.

SAG: No Good Reason to Strike
12-13 SAG National Board meeting, reports the LA Times. It’s unclear why this would not also apply to shows signed to AFTRA after a strike.

SAG Board Approves Studio Deal
An approval in the 60%-70% range seems more likely, given that the AFTRA deal last year achieved only 62% , as a result of an ultimately futile anti-ratification campaign conducted by SAG. On a personal note, I had a surreal experience outside yesterday’s board meeting. In other words—product placement at SAG’s own board meeting!
