Hollywood Labor: SAG Source Says a Strike Unlikely, Joint SAG-AFTRA Bargaining Likely; and the Year Ahead
If the agreement follows the customary pattern, AFTRA will receive annual increases on July 1, 2011, July 1, 2012, and July 1, 2013. To bring SAG up to parity, the agreement could give SAG its next increase 9 months later (say April 1, 2012), rather than the 12 months that AFTRA will wait. 2) Basic Cable. bump in minimum wage rates.

SAG-AFTRA Ratify Advertising Agreement; SAG Townhall Features Fireworks
The deals expire March 31, 2012. If you work in tech, check out my new book How to Write LOIs and Term Sheets. SAG and AFTRA announced yesterday that their combined paid-up membership, about 132,000 members, overwhelmingly ratified the contracts between the unions and the advertising industry. Of those voting, about 94% voted yes.
