ABA Technology Survey on Social Networking
Asked whether they personally maintain a presence in an online social network such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Legal OnRamp, 56% of lawyers said yes. Just two years ago, in 2008, only 15% said yes to that question. Still, that was up from 12% last year and 4% in 2008. Facebook, 68%. Just 17% percent said yes. Plaxo, 18%.

Pilots Overwhelmingly AFTRA Again
Those numbers, in turn, were a stunning reversal from previous years, which had had SAG garnering about 90% of pilots and 86% of pickups in 2008. The stalemate and strike rumblings that ensued after the June 30, 2008 expiration of SAG’s contract led many television producers to choose AFTRA jurisdiction wherever possible. Maybe so.

And they've started a FaceBook cause called " Towards a Comprehensive, Balanced U.S. No doubt alarmed by the copyright-industry-heavy list of names floated as potential nominees as the first-ever US IP Czar, the copyleft is coming up with its own wish-list. Or at least the Georgetown University Students for Free Culture group is.
